A Project of New Era Educational and Charitable Support Foundation, the mission of the African Center for Peace and Peacemakers is to contribute to the deeper understanding, acceptance and practice of peace, reconciliation, compassion and forgiveness by ethical and non-violent means in Africa and throughout the world. Through our programs and projects of training, research and information dissemination, we seek to empower grassroots individuals and communities, through a non-dogmatic ethic of peace. The Center's strategy is to contribute to the development of models, theories and practices of peacemaking which facilitate the transformation of deeply rooted and resistant cultures of violence into cultures of peace in Africa and the rest of the world.

The center focuses on peace making, conflict resolutions, building inter ethnic understanding, inter-religious dialogue, peace training programs for communities and organizations, as well as addressing issues of health and poverty as related to real peace in Africa and the rest of the world. The Center convenes networks of Peace Builders, scholars, peace educators, researchers and social advocates who are committed to the transformation of social policies, practices and perspectives through transcultural learning.
The Center's Vision is to create and promote transcultural experiences and practices that transcend stereotypes of nationality, race, faith, gender and class, and to discover and strengthen social connections between people of different cultures, generations and nations.
